Segment Creation

To create customer segments with MessageGate, enter the segment tab from the chat manager screen, then click the create button at the top right of the screen.

Select the channel in which the segment group will be used, via the channel option.

Select the type of tag you want to use for the segment you want to create from the source option, then enter the tag name in the source value section that opens. If you cannot find the tag you are looking for at this point, make sure you have the correct tag type selected and entered the correct tag name.

After checking the “Preferably standard message” box, click the create button to complete the segment creation process.

After the segment is created, all your customers who receive the tag you gave as the source value will be dynamically added to the segment list. To add an external explicit consent customer list to the segment, click on the relevant segment from the segment tab.

Click on the example excel file button on the segment detail screen. Organize your list in accordance with this file format. Upload the list you have prepared by clicking the Upload excel file button. After the process is complete, refresh the page.

Click the send template message button to send Whatsapp Template Messages or Messenger Recurring Notification to the segment you created. In order to send template messages, your account must have predefined template messages. Click to learn more about template messages.

Click the send template message button next to the template message you want to send to your segment. Then click the send button to complete the process.

You can see the template message information you sent on the segment detail screen.
