How it works

MessageGate^® DHS analyzes the header and connection information contained within all email, looking for "lies".  Because malicious senders (spam, phishing, & viruses) must adhere to basic rules when it comes to email headers, they must fabricate information within the header information in order for the email to get routed through the corporate email system. MessageGate's proprietary DHS technology inspects the message header and can immediately detect lies and throw out mail before any content analysis. This unique combination ensures your organization is protected from threats, while virtually eliminating false positives.

A DHS server deployed at each inbound email gateway provides your organization with the following benefits:

• Stops up to 90% of all targeted threats, email-borne viruses, spam, and phishing attacks before they reach processing-intensive anti-virus and anti-spam filters.
• Removes the additional 10-15% of unwanted spam email that is still making its way to end users.
• Uses over 200 separate rules to determine good and bad contextual attributes of received email.
• Requires limited ongoing management and administration once configured and deployed at each gateway.
