Norbert Orth, President and Chief Executive Officer
Joining MessageGate in December 2005, Norbert Orth serves as President and Chief Executive officer. As a veteran of the technology industry, Orth brings nearly 20 years of enterprise leadership to the company and is responsible for all aspects of corporate direction and strategy. Prior to joining MessageGate, Orth held the position of Vice President of Sales for WRQ, which was acquired and subsequently merged with Attachmate Corporation in 2005. During his 8 year tenure at WRQ, Orth successfully developed key relationships resulting in large-scale sales with Fortune 500 customers such as Wal-Mart, Citigroup, Bank of America, Wellpoint, and Allstate; and created successful alliances with leading software companies including SAP, Sun, and Hewlett-Packard. Previously Mr. Orth held a variety of leadership positions in sales management and business development at Procter & Gamble as well as Onecast Media.
Orth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington. Actively involved in his community, he serves on the YMCA Partners with Youth annual campaign.

Mark Richardson, Chief Technology Officer & Chief Architect
Richardson brings a wealth of technology, product development and software engineering experience to his role at MessageGate. Most recently, Richardson was vice president of development at Loudeye Corp., where he oversaw product and service development for several enterprise technology offerings. Before Loudeye, Richardson was co-founder and vice president of product development at Alive.com, which was acquired by Loudeye.
Previously, Richardson was vice president of technology of the Information Applications Division of Verity, Inc. The division was formerly Cognisoft Corp., where Richardson was senior software engineer and responsible for development of user management and core information storage and retrieval libraries.
Prior to his involvement at Cognisoft, Richardson held several leadership positions during his six-year tenure at Microsoft Corp. As a member of the original Windows NT group, Richardson led the team responsible for improving performance of the OLE and Desktop components of Windows NT. Additionally, Richardson contributed to the engineering and development of OS/2. Back To Top
Chris Bradley, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
Chris Bradley has over 20 years experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining MessageGate, Bradley served as Vice President of Corporate Development at WRQ, Inc. and played a leading role in the successful sale of the $100M software company to a private equity consortium. Bradley has held senior management positions in product management, business development, and strategy & planning. Prior to WRQ, Bradley was a market manager at AT&T Wireless where he helped stand up the company’s initial wireless data business. Bradley began his career at IBM, where over 10 years he held positions in technical support, systems engineering, sales, and consulting.

Bradley Young, Vice President of Services
Bradley Young is a 15-year veteran of the enterprise development industry. His experience has led him to work with a wide range of companies, including multinational corporations. Young has extensive experience leading enterprise systems, working with large-scale customers, and developing deployment strategies. Most recently, Young was at Attachmate, Inc., where he led several groups developing customer deployment strategies. Previously, Young worked with renowned companies including AT&T Wireless and N2H2, where he managed development projects and built automated testing frameworks. Young served in the United States Army as a Mechanized Infantryman in the 1st Infantry Division.

Pete Ostenson, Vice President of Development
With more than 15 years of product lifecycle experience, Ostenson ensures MessageGate products are of the highest quality in the industry, and continually exceed customer expectations around performance, scalability and overall value. Prior to MessageGate, Ostenson spent over six years at Microsoft, where he held such positions as Test Lead, directing high profile Operating System and Networking projects. Ostenson's start-up experience includes MetaInfo, an Internet infrastructure management company, where he grew and managed the Test Group through to acquisition by Checkpoint Software Technologies. Ostenson's tenure at MessageGate has included managing quality assurance and delivery of all MessageGate products: Email Filtering, Policy Enforcement, and Archive Categorization. Ostenson holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Pacific Lutheran University. In addition, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History of Science from the University of Washington.
